A Life of Adventure

“Today a new sun rises for me; everything lives, everything is animated, everything seems to speak to me of my passion, everything invites me to cherish it”. – Ninon de Lenclos

“Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go”. – T.S. Eliot

No way! I am not sure if people really eat the scorpions or it is all just a tourist joke. I couldn’t believe it though.

  2. Sue Slaght – Calgary, Alberta Canada – www.traveltalesoflife.com Many years from now, when I am an old lady sitting in the nursing home, I hope to be the twinkly eyed resident still entertaining anyone who I can corner to listen, about all of the wild adventures attempted in a lifetime. Well into the second half of the game of life there is no time like the present to get out there, live big and laugh a lot. Living in Calgary, Alberta, married to my best friend Dave for over thirty years and Mom to adult children; my decades as a nurse have shown that in a moment life can change completely. Passionate about social justice, volunteerism and not letting the phrase “What would people think?” or my own fear get in the way of trying something new; the possibilities are endless. Enjoy the tales and I hope you will be inspired to try something you have been thinking about doing.

Thanks Sue! Yep, wedding of course is an adventure. I wanted to pull more pictures into the collage but it was taking forever going through my media library as I have over 12,000 images! At one point I just stopped and said enough!

  17. janaline's world journey – I am addicted to travelling and have been exploring the world for nearly two decades. Here I share my travel stories and pictures so that you can share in some of the amazing experiences I have along the way. When you travel you experience the culture and get to know the people of a country. Once you step out of your comfortzone you get to know the real country and experience it in a different way than ordinary tourists. My camera usually accompanies me everywhere I go so you can "see" and read about my journeys.

That’s an enviable life. Adventure! I like adventurous people. I just came from a trip to what we call Cordilleras in the Philippines and it was a very enlightening experience to meet new friends and see how they cope with life’s challenges under different conditions.
