Wordless Wednesday: Instagramming Cuba

Despite Cuba’s archaic, exceedingly slow and pricey internet services I managed to share a few shots on Instagram of this gorgeous colorful country. Here are some of my favorites that live, breathe and feel the amazing photographic moments of a week in Cuba.

A morning walk in Old Havana

Evening view of Havana

Once gorgeous buildings are sadly in a state of deterioration and disrepair.

Cubans love their music and often survive their hardships by a great sense of humor.

Most cars are pre-1959 American.

Rum the drink of Cuba

World famous Buena Vista Social Club

Late night in Havana

Cigars are sacred in Cuba

Art is everywhere

Colonial Trinidad is a display of color and beauty

Cubans are quite resourceful

  1. Wow, Nicole, these photos are downright stunning! I’m especially fascinated by the car images. My sister took a number when she has traveled to Havana, but they never cease to amaze me.

    Hugs form Ecuador,
    Kathy

      Thanks Amy!

  2. The place is so colourful and cheery like its people despite the hardships they face. Sometimes I think they have it better since the focus of life is on family and relationships rather than what I have or don’t have.

  3. We are in St Augustine, FL and stopped at The Cuban Bakery this morning. Over a Cuban coffee, I was telling hubby about your wonderful Cuba posts, just in case your ears were burning. 😉
