Minnesota’s Spectrum of Color

Fall has always been my absolute favorite time of year. As the days and nights grow shorter and the sun shines her glorious luminous light, the leaves ever so slowly begin to change. This year, fall has been coming at a snail’s pace given our Indian Summer. Yet during the last few days the leaves have begun to turn into their magical tapestry of colors. Hues from pumpkin oranges, to scarlet reds and golden yellows delight the eyes. It is nature’s way of rewarding us with beauty and preparing us for the long, colorless winter ahead.

Yes, I remember autumn although it’s been a while since I’ve seen one! Autumn colors are gorgeous and I also love that smokey, damp autumnal smell. I especially love your first photo, Nicole!

Here it’s just hot all year round with a rainy season and a dry season. It’s lush at the moment because of the rain. I love that!

Yes, it has remained summer here and we are still in shorts which will probably end tomorrow. Strange weather we are having these days in MN!

  6. restlessjo – Hi! I’m Jo! Johanna when I’m feeling posh, Jan to my Dad, and Joasiu to my Polish family. A bit of a mix-up, that’s me. The one constant, however, is my restless nature. I love to travel and to explore our world. It doesn’t have to be the big wide world. I can be ridiculously happy not too far from home, so long as I’m seeking new horizons. Of course I have a wish list, and it was to help me fulfil my dreams that I started to write travel guides for a venture called Simonseeks. I’d always kept a travel diary, and it was hugely satisfying to share my experiences and to make new friends who shared my passion for travel. Alas, Simonseeks hit a few troubles, but I still find myself writing about my travels. I’ve become addicted. I’d love to share them, and to make more friends. So, it has to be a blog- right? Or do I mean- write?

      Thanks Jo! I love fall!

  7. Fall is my favorite season, as well, Nicole. In fact, I’m going to miss the leaves changing color now that we live so close to the equator. Lovely images, my friend.

    Hugs from Ecuador,
    Kathy
