Instalove

I won’t argue it has been a tumultuous week with not much sleep and lots of rain. Sometimes when life gets tough, it is time for some love and beauty to cheer us up. I’ve been spending more time recently on developing my Instagram portfolio as it is another way for me to creatively express myself. I’ve played around with my photos and created some new shots of places that inspire me. I hope to send you some Instalove in this post filled with quotes and photos.

“The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceness as a beach – waiting for a gift from the sea.” – Anne Morrow Lindbergh

“You can’t be brave if you’ve only had wonderful things happen to you.” – Mary Tyler Moore

“One’s life has value only so long as one attributes value to the lives of others by means of love, friendship, indignation, compassion.” – Simone de Beauvoir

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the feeling that the world is losing its compassion. There is so much cruelty and hatred. I strive to be better than negativity, cruelty and intolerance. It is time to step up to the ugliness of some people and forget them. Move on. Happiness is one thing that money or anything can never buy. I am blessed that I have a life filled with love, purpose and happiness all around me. Thank you wonderful readers for supporting me and inspiring me to continue this blog.

  1. What a beautiful positive upbeat post! Your sunset photographs are stunning. I used to paint every day ~ these days I prefer being creative and expressive via photography and writing. It’s certainly less messy.
My favorite quote is that of the Dalai Lama!
Happiness and positive energy, compassion back at ya! 🙂

Beautiful shots! Instagram is by far my favourite platform – I finally have a reason to post old trip pictures that I love!

  3. Beautiful thoughts and beautiful photos.
Let your heart break open with the madness and insanity of the world. And then when the pain has drained away you can look upon it as one would look upon a much-loved toddler throwing a momentary tantrum.
    Much love,
    Alison

  4. What a beautiful post with inspiring thoughts and photographs. I particularly like the photo of Las Isletas inNicaragua and the quote by the Dalai Lama. Kindness and compassion are what “make the world go round.” Sending you heaps of both and love your way. Thank you for a thoughtful creative post.

  5. Wonderful photos and quotes. I sure wish everyone in the world would just be kind to each other. There is such a blindness to the beauty of every heart, soul, and body of every person!

  6. Your beautiful photos and inspiring quotes are just the tonic for a world that focuses so much on negativity and the lack of. The beauty of blogging is that we can turn that around. Just as you have here. I love your work Nicole.
