“Better keep yourself clean and bright. You are the window through which you must see the world.” – George Bernard Shaw
Like doors, I find windows to be a fascinating photography subject. While doors can be rather mysterious making one wonder what exists behind them, windows offer a glimpse occasionally into another world. Here is a look at some of my favorite windows I’ve photographed around the world.

Guatemala

Beautiful! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Now THAT is a great collection of window photos. I may try this challenge, but I don’t have the amazing collection of images you do! Fabulous!
Hope you stay warm this weekend!
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
Thanks Kathy! It took me a long time and perhaps I was a bit obsessive but I love photos! 🙂

Thanks! I love your entry too. Much more modern windows. Cool angles and love the green.
Reblogged this on Another Door Open.
Thanks for the reblog! I appreciate it! 🙂
I intend to see such places, windows and all, with my own eyes someday. For now, it is a treat to see them through yours!
Thanks! As I always love to say “If there is a will, there is a way!”. You”ll see those windows too! 🙂

What an amazing selection of photos! Love them all!
Thank you! 🙂
Now that’s what I call a window challenge! Doesn’t it make you curious to find out what’s behind all those windows?
Ha Ha…I went a little overboard perhaps on all those windows but I love them! Yes I’m so curious what is behind. !!!
Gorgeous photos, Nicole! I love window (and door) photos too. It’s incredible how each country has its own unique style. I especially love your last photo with the washing line!
I’m glad you like the washing line one! I found those ones to be my favorites along with the windows layered in peeling paint. 🙂
stunning…. and I love the quote with it.

Fascinating and intriguing idea. From around our world. I find it interesting how often “Security” plays a character part in your pictorial essay. Best, Harold
That is so true. In central america a lot of the windows are more boarded up. Interesting. 🙂
