I started the practice of yoga this week and am realizing how much I need this right now in my life to balance my body, heart and soul. Today I’m dedicating my mantra to someone I love very much. My mantra is to never ever give up.
When life kicks and breaks us down, fight back and stay strong. The mind is a powerful thing. It is up to you to decide each and every day whether or not it will make or break you. Stay strong.
“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any”. – Alice Walker
This is powerful stuff. I decided twenty five years ago, before they had any medications to help Multiple Sclerosis, never to give up when I was diagnosed. I adore this post and will share it wherever possible!
Thank you so much for your words Cathy! I truly appreciate it and it feels so good to know there are other people out there who understand and care. Thank you.
Amazing and inspirational last photo you posted! Every day is a new day.

Thanks for the reblog. I appreciate it!
Beautiful images and sentiments–to pull from within and stay positive is important for the heart, mind and soul.
Thank you. I am trying my best. We decide each and every day how we are going to feel in times of struggle. I’ve decided I can no longer feel like I’m dying inside and that it is time to be positive, hopeful and put up a fight. Never give up!
Thank you for this inspiring post! Love the photos and last quote especially.
Thank you so much! Glad to know someone else felt inspired by it. Makes me feel good.

A very touching post Nicole and one near and dear to my heart! Sending loving thoughts your way.
Thanks LuAnn. It is so hard sometimes to cope with this all. But I’m trying my best and being positive is really helping as is yoga.
Yoga has done wonders for me during this year of challenges, as well as meditation, although I must admit it is sometimes difficult to still my mind. Hugs being sent your way 🙂
Thank you LuAnn. I’ve become obsessed with yoga. Meditation is a little too hard right now emotionally but I do enjoy just the breathing and calming activities. So glad I found yoga! 🙂
I believe it is a must to maintain our flexibility as we begin to age. Even Terry enjoys it! 🙂
Amazing… Beautifully shot…
Thank you so much.
i am going to visit a friend who is fighting stage four cancer today — im taking this with me! thanks for the inspiration!!
My dad was just diagnosed stage 4. That is why I am so incredibly devastated but today I decided I am NOT GOING TO GIVE IN anymore to feeling so sad. I am going to be like him and fight. He is so amazing and so positive. we are now faced with 4-6 months of aggressive chemo and my parents live in AZ while I’m here in MN. Thankfully we have the resources for me to fly out every 4-6 weeks and friends here who can help with my kids. It is going to be a VERY long, difficult journey but his doctor said it is just a number. It can be beat. We will not give in. Nor shall your friend.
Yoga has been a wonderful balance for me. I hope it helps. I love that Alice Walker quote. Stay strong!
Thanks so much. I’ve have truly fallen in love with yoga. It has truly changed my life and has really helped me deal with everything.
