Photography: From Lines to Patterns

“Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so that each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry”. – Richard P. Feynman

The Highlands of Guatemala

This week’s photo challenge is to put together a collage of photos focusing on the different lines and patterns we see around us. I love taking pictures and try to experiment as often as I can while I’m traveling or at home on a photo walk here in Minneapolis.

For this challenge I went back to some of my favorite pictures from lovely Guatemala (sorry Lucy for making you homesick!). I love all the different lines and patterns in the architecture and in the landscape.  I’ve often found that sometimes you need to use that good old “third-eye” to uncover things that may go unnoticed.
