La Tour Eiffel

Perhaps one of the most iconic attractions in all of Paris is the beloved Tour Eiffel. Built in 1889 at the entrance to the World Fair, the Eiffel Tower has become the most celebrated cultural symbol in all of France and is one of the most recognizable monuments in the world. Standing 320 metres (1,050 ft) tall, her iron-latticed wires spire upwards to the Parisien sky. Here are some shots I took of the lovely Eiffel Tower while I was in Paris. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but perhaps the clouds add some stark beauty to this amazing piece of art.

Thanks Wikipedia for providing the above facts on the Eiffel Tower and Jakesprinter’s Sunday Post: Attraction, for inspiring an entire post dedicated to the beloved Tour Eiffel.

  1. This is kind of weird to me…. Not your post! … What is weird is, I just drew the Eiffel Tower last night on a piece of paper, and I follow a lady artist who posted her painting of the Eiffel Tower and now I saw your blog post that has the Eiffel Tower… I wonder if I am going to Paris soon… hmmmm… 🙂

    Lovely photographs! I love Paris!

  4. I know and have see Eiffel tower in pictures and television but never really got a closer look like this one. I agree that i never researched enough. As you said the clouds did magic to your work…….love the picture……and have these pictures stored than any other.

    • Thanks so much! I really love the Eiffel Tower as it reminds me of Paris where I studied at the age of 20. World was at my feet. Special memories! 🙂

  5. I think the clouds do add to the effect! I love the first shot with the bit of blue then the dark grey clouds… looks like you retouched it and did that on purpose!
