A fresh coat of snow in photos

Winter is still going strong here in Minnesota and I woke up this morning to the most beautiful coating of white glistening snow I’d seen in months. It was simply spectacular. When the sun caught the gooey, thick droplets of snow, it sparkled like a million shining diamonds stinging the eyes.

“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event.Β  You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found? ” ~J.B. Priestley

I’m off again tomorrow to another destination. This time to the mountains of Colorado where I will soar through the hills on my skis in joy. I haven’t forgotten about posting on Honduras. Yet it will have to wait. Stay tuned…

    • I thought you might like some of my MN pictures and posts. I bet it brings back lots of memories! It was gorgeous today and I went snowshoeing on Lake Harriet. I almost didn’t need a coat either but that is because it felt balmy at 40 degrees for me! I am envious though of the no need to wear a coat! Oh well. πŸ™‚

  1. Nice photos & quotes. I traveled to Minneapolis today and was impressed by how white the snow was, and yes, how the trees looked beautiful. Fresh snow, followed by sunshine made the day really nice.

Beautiful photos, and a great quote as well. We had a bit of snow in Wales again this week. We were all holding our breath, waiting to see if it would settle and bring the country to a standstill again, but luckily it blew over. I’m very jealous that you’re going skiing!
