Surprises around the world

“Life is full of surprises”.  -John Major

Half of the beauty of traveling and exploring the world is the unexpected surprises that come along the way.

From a glacial tongue in Iceland…P1000453_Snapseed To an Ibex in the heart of the French Alps….P1000745_Snapseed To a giant Elephant in the African savannah….IMG_0213_Snapseed Or even the first sighting of a duck in early Spring…IMG_1297_Snapseed To an unexpected morning wake-up to a mule train outside your hotel window in Nepal…P1020045_Snapseed Or finding the hidden passageway to a magical world inside the hutongs of Beijing…P1040179_Snapseed But nothing will ever top my list of surprises than climbing a volcano in Guatemala and watching the neighboring volcano erupt….now this was some surprise!IMG_0530_Snapseed

    • Thanks Lisa! It was a shock as I had truly no idea when I hiked Santa Maria volcano that there was an active one nearby that just so happened to erupt when I reached the top. Talk about a surprise!!!!

  9. Great photos. You’ve been to Southern and Central America as I see. Any tipps on what has to be seen? I’ll also head there to push my Spanish in about a year (but don’t know to which countries) 🙂
