I woke up this morning and something felt different. I felt lighter, airer and when I opened my shades there it was….crisp, light, flaky SNOW!!!!
To go from almost record highs of 70 degrees on Saturday to snow on Monday is unbelievably crazy. Then again, welcome to Minnesota! Land of the extremes!
Don’t get too excited though kids…it will all melt soon. Winter isn’t ready to come for good yet.
Reblogged this on travelwyse.
THanks so much for the reblog! I appreciate it! 🙂
There’s nothing quite like a good early snowfall:)
Yes indeed! But it is already gone! We will get another one soon…I hope! The kids were so excited and wanted to play in it, but it was all gone by the end of the day!
Oh, I wish we had snow here. By the way, found an email address I could use to submit the Haiti piece. Who knows what will happen. Thanks for everything, Nicole. Keep your fingers crossed–maybe even your toes!
Hugs,
Kathy
I am so thrilled Kathy! keep submitting! Send me the link too so I can tweet it out and share it on FB!
It snowed at my son’s house last week in NJ, but by lunchtime, it had all gone. Great photos. Keep warm, Nicole. 🙂
All the snow is gone here too! Oh well…there will be more! 🙂
70 to snow…sounds like Colorado!!! 🙂
Yes indeed! My brother lives there and he is always telling me about the extreme weather changes. Hopefully I will make it out this year for a ski weekend. I love it!
Extreme, but also extremely beautiful, most of the time! You should let me know if you make it out and we can grab coffee!!
Wouldn’t that be fun?!!! I love meeting all my fellow bloggers! So far I’ve met 6 and everyone has been amazing! It is really cool! 🙂 I’ll keep you posted! 🙂
Please do!! We could go for a hike!!!
Would LOVE to!
Have never lived anywhere where it snows..it looks so beautiful though I’m sure it’s hard to deal with !
Ahhh…I have lived in snow for 40 years now! I love it and am so used to it. Driving, piece of cake! 🙂 But yes if you don’t know how to deal with it, it can be hard. My theory is to embrace it! I ski, snowshoe and run year round plus love to build snow forts with the kids! 🙂
That sounds wonderful 🙂
Soo could, ufff it´s in butan?,
goodnight
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota! We got a lot of snow in the winter here!
it´s incredible.
We got quite a bit here but it has since melted… Even after so many years, I have to admit I’m just not a big fan of it… Looks beautiful but a hassle for getting around. 😉
Yes having snow in a big city is awful! Here in Minneapolis we are used to it and can handle it. We’ve got great plows and the roads are cleared instantly. When I lived in Chicago and we got big snows, it was miserable!!!! 🙂
