I woke up this morning and something felt different. I felt lighter, airer and when I opened my shades there it was….crisp, light, flaky SNOW!!!!

To go from almost record highs of 70 degrees on Saturday to snow on Monday is unbelievably crazy. Then again, welcome to Minnesota! Land of the extremes!

Don’t get too excited though kids…it will all melt soon. Winter isn’t ready to come for good yet.

    1. Yes indeed! But it is already gone! We will get another one soon…I hope! The kids were so excited and wanted to play in it, but it was all gone by the end of the day!

  1. Oh, I wish we had snow here. By the way, found an email address I could use to submit the Haiti piece. Who knows what will happen. Thanks for everything, Nicole. Keep your fingers crossed–maybe even your toes!

    1. Yes indeed! My brother lives there and he is always telling me about the extreme weather changes. Hopefully I will make it out this year for a ski weekend. I love it!

      1. Wouldn’t that be fun?!!! I love meeting all my fellow bloggers! So far I’ve met 6 and everyone has been amazing! It is really cool! 🙂 I’ll keep you posted! 🙂

    1. Ahhh…I have lived in snow for 40 years now! I love it and am so used to it. Driving, piece of cake! 🙂 But yes if you don’t know how to deal with it, it can be hard. My theory is to embrace it! I ski, snowshoe and run year round plus love to build snow forts with the kids! 🙂

  2. We got quite a bit here but it has since melted… Even after so many years, I have to admit I’m just not a big fan of it… Looks beautiful but a hassle for getting around. 😉

    1. Yes having snow in a big city is awful! Here in Minneapolis we are used to it and can handle it. We’ve got great plows and the roads are cleared instantly. When I lived in Chicago and we got big snows, it was miserable!!!! 🙂
