Mine

As a stay at home mom of two children, one thing I learned right away is that nothing was simply mine anymore. My time, my space, my life, my body and soul all became shared once I had my children.

One of the only places that is relatively mine. Lovely Lake Harriet. Yes it is shared by many people but it is the one place I can find solitude and me time.

As the years go by and the kids grow older, slowly I manage to get a bit more time to myself. But still, it is rare. As a family, we share our lives, our days, our minds and our livelihoods. There will be a time in my life that everything is mine again. But in the meantime, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
