Fighter Planes in Old Geneve

After a transatlantic flight to Europe, we wound up in Geneva with a four hour layover until proceeding to France. We were starving and found an outdoor cafe in Old Geneve, where we sat outside munching on pizza and watching the world go by. Incredibly jet lag and out of sorts, we heard an insanely loud rumble overhead. It was almost as if we were being attached. Had I not lived in Chicago and went to the annual Air and Water Show where I heard the fighter planes fly overhead, I would have had a heart attack.

I rose from my seat and peered into the sky above and this is what I saw…completely out of the blue. The contrast between the fighter jets and the old buildings of Old Geneva were quite impressive. I love this shot!

That is a great shot! The same thing happened to me once in San Francisco — I forgot it was Fleet Week and the Blue Angels were doing their practice flights…the rumble made it feel like my bones where shaking too. And until I realized what it was, my initial thoughts were not good either.

    • Thanks so much! I just stopped by and your blog looks lovely! I like the bright green color too in the background. It is nice and cheerful! I’ll look forward to your next posts! 🙂
