A fountain of flowers

“By cultivating the beautiful we scatter the seeds of heavenly flowers, as by doing good we cultivate those that belong to humanity”. – Robert A. Heinlein

This week’s travel theme from Ailsa of “Where’s my backpack” is one of my favorite photographic subjects: Flowers! I love flowers and had an amazing time this spring and early summer capturing hundreds of flowers as they came into bloom. I’ve written several posts focused on flowers and selected some of my favorite photos to share with you in this post.

Be prepared for a lot of flowers and sensory overload! I hope it brighten’s your day!

    • Good question! I am not exactly sure anymore to be quite honest! I needed some new flowers to test out in my garden and purchased them this spring. They are perennials. I think you are right that they bloom with lace. I need a good website to investigate. If I figure it out, I’ll let you know! So glad your day was brightened! 🙂 I love flowers!

  1. Great photos. My favourite is the shy purple pansy. Such delicate colouring; the semi-transparency and the veins give it such an air of fragility. Beautiful.

    • Thank you! My husband actually helped me with that shot. I was experimenting with my camera and really trying to get a good close up shot of the pansy. It turned out awesome, especially since it was my small, compact digital elph that fits in my back pocket! 🙂
