Finally after a disasterous drive from downtown DC, we made it a day later to my sister’s house in Gloucester Point, Virginia, about a three hour drive south of the nation’s capital. Apparently we had forgotten that rush hour traffic starts at 3 pm sharp, that it was spring break and we were pretty much in a parking lot situation for hours on end, forcing us to make a detour to spend the night at my in-laws in Warrenton, Virginia.
We left this morning and didn’t face terrifying traffic yet did run into issues while traveling with the kids. It was not exactly the way I wanted to start off our vacation. It seems like my last two trips inside the US have been rather rough. But, if there is a shining light at the end of the tunnel, we arrived at my sister’s home along the gorgous York River and here is what I saw inside her yard.
The most amazing Spring flowers possible! Enjoy!
