Illumination of the Honduran sky

Here in tropical Honduras, I find myself obsessed with the illumination of the Honduran sky. It is rainy season now and dramatic storms come and go daily blanketing the ground in fresh, warm water.

The sky is amazing especially at sunrise and sunset. The more tropical and wet it is, the better the sensational illumination of the sunlight through the clouds.

Here are some of my favorite sunsets I’ve captured on my handy iPhone during the week in Honduras.

In the island of Roatan:

And here are some more dramatic sunsets from the mainland of Honduras in La Ceiba.

I only have a few more days left here before I go home. Two more sunsets to enjoy! I can hardly wait!
