This post is a combination of two photo challenges that just so happened to work brilliantly together at the same time. The Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong and Ailsa of Where’s my backpacks‘ travel theme signs.
I was feeling like my blog needed a little bit of humor instead of dwelling on all the social issues in this world that are wrong and unjust. Yes, I could have posted on the left-behind plastic shoe I saw along the rugged trail up a volcano in Guatemala worn by a local Mayan woman on the hike. Or I could had featured a photo of a beggar sitting outside a majestic Antiguan church. Throughout my travels, I’ve seen much that is right and much that is wrong. That is what I always aspire to write about here on my blog.
But today I felt like I needed a little laugh. After all, I am getting ready to board a plane to France in two hours for a week-long hike, after laying in bed sick for the last four days and dropping a five pound jar on my pinkie toe nearly breaking it. Then I drove over the drain pipe attached to our house and smashed it while the kids laughed in the back seat. Ok. I’m a little stressed today hence my need for humor.
Without further ado, here is the wrong sign that I saw while recently walking around the lake. Thankfully I had just downloaded my new “311 Minneapolis” app on my iPhone and reported it live on the spot. I tried not to laugh at the graffiti but sometimes a good laugh helps lighten things up.
Wrong. Sign.

Aren’t you clever to find an image that satisfies both challenges! Great choice! Z
Thanks for the giggle.
You’re welcome!
Love it. AND I love all your posts about social isues as well. Keep up the great work!
Oooops! That is funny.
I know what you mean about needing a laugh when you write about topics related to social issues (and for me as well, on issues related to the environment). Lately, posting photos of my grandchildren balances things out for me, making me smile and happy, and reminding me of why I blog about these topics in the first place.

Really funny… reminds me of a different kind of wrong sign in my home town of Spokane, WA. They (the city dept) blamed it on the snow.. but rumor was someone came along with some experience on re-wiring.. enjoy.. http://www.rte.ie/news/2010/1202/washington.html
Now that is hysterical!!!!! I wonder how on earth someone did that!!!!!
Oh yeah and have a great trip.. as always enjoyed your post.
Thanks!

ROTFLMAO – some people are soooooooooooooo creative
Now this made me laugh today. Good one!
Now that is a wrong sign. It does have a sense of humor to it. The hard part is how to explain to our kids when they ask, “what does that mean, dad?” Hmm…great post!
hehe … naughty, naughty!!! good one!!!
Thanks! It made me laugh for sure!
